NYEDA STEWART

Nyeda Stewart is a playwright, poet, and creative director from Brooklyn, New York. Her aim as an artist is to provoke a catharsis in herself and her audience, in efforts to move towards self-liberation. She pulls from her Grenadian background, personal narratives, and Black history as homes of inspiration. Nyeda's most recent project is Mother Tongue, a choreopoetic stage play which was produced for her undergraduate senior thesis at Yale University. It was a Finalist for the 2023 O'Neill National Playwrights Conference.
